Free Nonprofit Workshop offers “Grant-worthy” Advise

Standard

The IRS recently revoked the nonprofit status of 275,000 nonprofits nationwide, including 3,400 in LA County and 2,200 in Orange County.  Combined, these numbers are higher than many states.

Nonprofit Development Alliance (NDA) is offering a free workshop on Thursday, August 25 at OPIS Network HQ located at 4000 MacArthur Blvd, 9th floor in Newport Beach from 3:00-5:00pm to assist struggling and terminated organizations.

It is estimated that about half of the revoked nonprofits wish to remain in good standing with the IRS but were remiss in following regulations and are unaware of next steps and procedures to take to become reinstated.

The FREE workshop will discuss:

  • how it happened
  • why it happened
  • what their options are now
  • and how to prevent it from happening again

NDA held its first public forum last month in LA and had a great turnout.  The upcoming event in Orange County will be its second free reinstatement workshop and they plan to offer others throughout Southern California including, San Fernando Valley, Pasadena/Glendale and Long Beach.

Nonprofit Development Alliance specializes in fund development, grant strategies, accounting services and compliance and is leading the charge in helping terminated nonprofits that wish to be reinstated find direction.

The free workshop is also open to nonprofit organizations interested in fund development and grant strategic plans. Donor cultivation and planned giving will be discussed, as well as strategies to help increase chances of receiving grant money from foundations, endowments and the government.
